GASTON, Ore. – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a man involved in an incident that left one person seriously injured from stab wounds.

Deputies said they are looking Delaney VanLoo, 38, of Gales Creek following an altercation Tuesday afternoon in Gaston. Gaston is located west of Portland.

VanLoo and another man, Brian O’Neel, 36, from Forest Grove, were involved in an incident  Tuesday afternoon that left O’Neel with stab wounds to his hands and face, deputies said in a press release.

O'Neel was taken to a hospital in Portland with serious injuries but is expected to survive, deputies said. No details about the incident were released.

Deputies went to look for VanLoo at a nearby apartment and found his wife and son, whom they said were not hurt.

VanLoo may be driving a green-blue 1994 Chevy pickup truck with Oregon plates reading UWF649.

Deputies said VanLoo is considered a "person of interest" in the case. He is described as being heavyset, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 220 pounds.
