Downtown buildings reopen after three-day closure

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland City Hall and the Portland Building will reopen at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday following a lengthy power outage.

On the city's website, employees were told to report to work at their normal time.

Pioneer Tower employees were also told to go to work at their regularly scheduled time. The City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday will also happen at the regularly scheduled time and location.

A PGE spokesperson told KATU they hope to reopen the Multnomah County courthouse by noon.

The outage was caused by a fire early Sunday that damaged underground cables.
