Woman, 62, killed in head-on collision on Highway 99E

OREGON CITY, Ore. - A deadly two-car collision closed Highway 99E for hours in Oregon City on Friday.
According to the Oregon State Police, a 2001 Dodge Durango was headed northbound on Highway 99E just before 1:30 p.m. when the driver crossed the center line near milepost 17, north of South End Road.
The Durango collided nearly head-on with a car that was headed in the opposite direction.
The driver of the car, 62-year-old Susanne Frances Forman, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Durango, 31-year-old Eric Dean Hoskins, was taken to a local hospital to get checked out for a possible injury.
this was my grandma she is a person who didn't deserve this no matter what even if the dude had a medical condition he shouldn't be driving then she was always careful and left behind a big family that will miss her alot she willl be missed dearly and we will get justiceÂ
 @midnightsmagic7 I'm so sorry about your grandma!Â
Â
I wanted to offer a cautious warning, though. Â Sometimes these posters can get quite a bit out of hand so, if that happens, understand that it is best to not respond (no matter how hard that might seem because you want to defend your grandmother) but to walk away from the keyboard. Â Those of us who post regularly call out the trolls for what they are but it still can't be easy for friends and family to read some of the hateful stuff I've seen.
Â
Go spend time with your family. Â You need time to grieve and time to heal. Â You don't need message threads like these. Â Again, I'm so sorry about the accident (I've driven that road many times). Â I'll think about your Grandmother every time I drive past the area now. Â Now, go honor your Grandmother's life and cherish the memories you have.

That man was born to end lives.
@JTmoney2424 Why, has he done something like this before? because, Im pretty sure he doesn't feel guilty for this (2nd hand account).Â
Crossed the centerline? That area has had the four lanes reduced to three with a wide no-mans-land lane in between. It isn't just a matter of drifting over the line.Â
I'm sure there will be a cause for this accident discovered and it could be just about anything. The one thing I do know is that Friday is not a good day to be on the road especially this time of year. Most drivers attention spans are not about being safe on the road but where they have to be, or yea it's Friday, or nothing bad can happen today to me!Â
I have forgotten the number of fatal crashes I had to investigate on Hwy 99E from Oregon City and beyond Canby to the county line. Alcohol and/or drugs for the most part and a few intentional suicides but never a huge SUV vs. a what kind of car?
Naturally it's the one causing he head on that lives....You can always count on that.
No, I don't feel bad for the causer here....just the poor victim.
19:05:00..nothing in the story about cell phone useage. Not sure where people are coming from jumping to conclusions. The driver could possibly have had a medical issue. Or equipment failure.
Sad story all around. Best wishes for both families
Sorry to hear of the death of an innocent person.Â
Â
My sincere sympathies to both families, as they are both suffering at this time.
Sorry for these families involved. Seems so unfair when you're just an innocent driver trying to do the right thing. Sad.
Ya because there was no wrecks before cell phones.
