Keizer, Ore. – A driver is recovering after getting trapped inside a car that went off the road, down an embankment and into a creek.

Police responded to a crash Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. on the 6700 block of 35th Avenue NE.

Emergency crews had to clear brush from the hillside before they could get to the person who was trapped in the car.  It only took crews 10 minutes to rescue the only person inside the car.  Crews were able to get the driver out of the car through the rear window.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital.

Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
