PORTLAND, Ore. - If you are still driving around with studded tires, you have just a few days left to get them off your vehicle.

Sunday, March 31 is the deadline to have your studded tires removed, whether you live in Oregon or Washington.

Sometimes the deadline is extended if winter conditions hang on a bit longer in the lower elevations, but that isn't a problem this year. Of course, if you're heading into the mountains you'll still want to carry chains or use other kinds of traction tires.

Drivers who don't remove their studded tires by Sunday could wind up with a $124 ticket in Washington or a $190 ticket in Oregon if caught.
