WOOD VILLAGE, Ore. – An employee and customers at a Wood Village deli took down an armed robbery suspect early Tuesday morning.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Steve Alexander said an armed man walked into a Dotty’s at 2705 NE 238th just after 12 a.m.
While police and sheriff’s deputies were on their way to the deli, the dispatcher reported that an employee had disarmed the man and customers pinned him to the ground.
No one was hurt and no shots were fired, Alexander said.
Police arrested the man, later identified as 57-year-old Gordon Peterson, when they arrived.
Police took Peterson to the Multnomah County Jail on robbery and weapons charges.
