Endangered man goes missing from Hillsboro facility

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Police in Hillsboro are looking for a man who went missing earlier this week from a residential care facility.
Thomas Ryan Olsen, 36, was last seen on Oct. 1 when he walked away from a residential care facility in Hillsboro. He is described as delusional and due to his mental health issues is deemed endangered in his status as a missing person, police said.
Olsen is 5-foot-10 and weighs 325 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, gray sweatshirt and a black leather jacket. He has not been taking his required medication for his mental condition.
He has been known to frequent public transportation and to frequent the waterfront park in Portland.
Anyone who sees Olsen should call the non-emergency Washington County Dispatch at 503-629-0111 or Hillsboro detectives at 503-681-6175.
Is he a danger to others when off his meds?
If he is endangered, we need to create the "Thomas Olsen" foundation to try and save these elusive, noble creatures
Check the bus videos. Bet he hopped on board one of TriMet's buses.Â
How did he get the chains off and through that metal door?
How come these folks can keep wandering away? Who actually watches the doors at these residential care facilities? And went missing 4 days ago? Don't they do daily counts?Â
I hope they find him quickly.
Damn, I thought I was overweight, But maybe I am wrong. I am two inches taller and sixty pounds lighter!
Sounds like you and I are about the same size. We are both overweight. Just not as much as this guy. Now don't me calling you (and myself) overweight as bullying and make a national story out of it. Just keeping it real. Ha
@Portlander29 I'm 6'4 and am 262pds and my Doc. says "I'm over weight".
@Portlander29 The times have changed. A person 5' 10" and 325 pounds is now just considered as being stocky. Troglodite and yourself are what is known as fit and toned. I am 5' 10" and 180 and am probably classified as frail and undernourished.
im sure he wont be hard to spot, nor will he be traveling very fast
