Neighbor: Farmer eaten by hogs 'very much loved his animals'
RIVERTON, Ore. - Stephanie Donaldson recently took her son to visit Terry Garner's ranch.
She said Garner is known to neighbors as a man with a heart for animals. He often let children come to his ranch so to learn about raising livestock.
Garner's body was eaten by his hogs last week. An investigation into what caused his death is ongoing.
"It's kind of prophetic that it happened the way it did," Donaldson said. "He very much loved his animals, without a doubt, and that's where he always said he'd love to pass when he did."
Donaldson said she and her family believe Garner succumbed to a tragic accident.
Garner's family have been told by authorities not to talk about his death until the investigation is complete.
He became one with the animals he loved so much. Way to go!
yes, who DOESN'T want to die like that, eaten by 700 pound hogs? we should all be so lucky to pass that peacefully.
Yes the Hogs Loved him as well, they would have prefered him with salt and BBQ sauce but they loved him anyway. His passing can still be observed.
Read about Robert Piction in Penticton BC who picked up prostitutes, cut them up and fed them to the hogs on his farm....Some of those that became hog food were killed by the Hells Angels and the Red Scorpians. Piction is serving a life term which is really unheard of in Canada. Pigs are not the nice friendly types.....no I do not eat meat of any kind, so no payback here
How many other pigs out there look at us as food? Â We need to ban all pigs and round them up and kill them like they have the swine flu! Â Clearly they are a national security threat!

He went to feed the hogs alright, and became food for the hogs. Could you imagine lying there fully aware of your surroundings, but yet unable to move? You could see and hear everything while you are being eaten alive.
No, I can't imagine that! I'm sure he had a medical issue and was unconscious!
 @jpk I agree. I've heard stories about dogs and cats eating their human's remains. It's always sad when it happens, but it does, and the animals don't understand the emotional impact of what they're doing.
Hogs...and Pigs will eat anything. Â Condolences to the Family. Â I do have to say though, if this is truly where his passion was and where he felt he would be the most happiest, to die out with his hogs, then I'm glad he had the opportunity. Â Not saying I'm glad they turned him into dinner, just saying he went where he was probably the most happy.
This is so incredibly sad. RIP, Mr. Garner.
Maybe this is what happened to Jimmi Hoffa.
It would appear that his animals loved him too.
