BRIDGE OF THE GODS, Wash. -- One person died and another was injured in a head-on crash on Highway 14 east of the Bridge of the Gods.
Traffic was blocked off for more than an hour and later diverted. At 6:30 p.m., the highway was reopened.
One person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn said.
The crash at milepost 41 was reported around 4 p.m. Thursday, just after a rockslide happened on the highway about 20 miles east of the crash.
Traffic was already extremely heavy because a rockslide closed Interstate 84 on the Oregon Side heading in to the Gorge.
