VANCOUVER, Wash. – Firefighters battled a two-alarm brush fire in Vancouver.
The fire started just before 3 p.m. Saturday near NE 137th Ave. and 49th St.
Firefighters called for more resources after crews arrived. The wind helped the flames spread quickly.
The fire was in a vacant lot surrounded by homes. Firefighters worked to protect nearby buildings.
One abandoned shed was destroyed. The fire burned an estimated three to five acres, firefighters said.
No one was hurt.
It’s unclear how the fire started.
