Firefighters rescue man who fell down elevator shaft
PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland firefighters rescued a man who fell 20 feet down an elevator shaft Monday night.
Crews were not sure how the man fell from the first floor into the basement of the building, located at Southeast Water Avenue and Madison Street.
Firefighters used ropes and pulleys to get the injured man up to safety.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to OHSU with injuries that firefighters said were not life-threatening.
They should have just lowered the elevator for him. ;)
Could be a possible Darwin nominee?
