Former teacher pleads guilty to having sex with student

Deviant felon - right there. Sexual child predator - right there. 

 

Makes my skin crawl. Time and time again - teachers predatorily raping children.

Was it a School for the blind? If I hit that I would not tell a soul!

There are sex related convictions everyday in Oregon somewhere, you just don't hear about them as there kept private or don't involve stranger to stranger.  Most ALL first time convictions, male or female, non-violent, are typically 3 years probation and register as a sex offender (registering is also not permanent, ORS 181.830).

Sit in court and know the truth, not just the BS on these blogs.

The longest sentence afforded in any of the preceeding cases was 5 years, and that was a woman who was convicted of having group sex with 5 different male students. 

 

The average sentence for a male educator convicted of having sex with a minor female is 13 years.

In Oregon, there is no crime that is specific to teachers having sexual relations with students. About the closest is 163.425-Sexual abuse in the second degree, and that only covers someone who is a 'coach'.  I've given up being offended by the problem. I'm to the point of anger, and wondering when the OR state legislature is going to get off their respective arses and actually DO something about it. Teachers having sex with students is WRONG. Period. There is no consideration of age, or situation that is going to make it 'better' or less of a criminal act. Male, female, straight, gay, don't care. Our public schools are NOT singles bars for emotionally unbalanced and morally devoid adults to find sex partners. 

 

It's pervasive, and examples of this miscarriage of justice are plentiful nationally and locally. Personally, I don't care if you have a penis or not, a teacher who is convicted of having sex with a student in their charge should receive a MANDITORY minimum of 5 years in prison. If the legicritters won't do anything about it, perhaps it's time for an inititive to take care of it. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Must be a Liberal Judge. So can we assume that this Judge is setting an example for any male that has the propensity to commit the same offense? That as far as the legal system is concerned, justice will be served by giving the male rapist the same sentence? Is this "equal justice under the law"?

She plead guilty to predatory child RAPE. Not having sex with a child. 

 

She is a monster/teacher/cruel predator. Who abused her profession and her professional privilege. 

 

That is why she will spend the rest of her life with the label SEXUAL OFFENDER. 

 

I hope raping a child was worth it. Now let's hope the child she raped gets help.

It's not even the cover story on KATU. You know, like all those times some men were merely accused of rape, had their mugs and names posted all over Portland media to find out later they were innocent. The double standards that aren't taken seriously.

Wow!! I never had her as my teacher but I knew her because she taught at Molalla when I went there. Sometimes the people you are supposed to trust can not be trusted at all!

Strange...the same thing happens with a man, he gets years in prison...a woman gets 60 days probation...I guess equality at it's best?  Of course, it doesn't say how old the student was...perhaps 18, but still a student so she gets in troube?  Proabably not, but it is a posibility.

Don't guys usually get a jail sentence for the same crime? What ever happened to equality? 

So lets see does she like young boys or girls? Guess for a sexual relationship she threw away all of her education/training and now has a criminal record and no job prospects. Ever hear of masturbation, it would have saved her, her victim and families on both sides a lot of pain.

Plea deal. At least she has to register and not be a teacher. But wearing the anklet for only 60 days is WRONG! Should have been stronger sentence. 

We trust these folks with our children then they violate that trust......Yep....Then they want respect.....Nope

Just wrong, wrong, wrong, and she's not even that good looking of a teacher.
