Four Plaid Pantries robbed in one day; police look for connection

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking into the possibility that the same person is responsible for robbing four Plaid Pantries on Monday.

The first robbery happened just before 3 a.m. at the Plaid Pantry at 2010 N. Killingsworth Street. The second robbery happened just after 9:30 a.m. at the Plaid Pantry at 5146 S.E. Holgate Blvd. The third Plaid Pantry at 7144 N.E. Killingsworth Street was hit about 10 minutes before 11 a.m. And the fourth robbery happened at the Plaid Pantry at 6510 N. Greeley Avenue. That store was robbed just before 6 p.m.

Police said the suspect demanded money at all four stores.

Witnesses at the four locations described the suspect as a black man in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and with a slim or medium build. In at least one robbery the suspect was described as weighing about 165 pounds.

Police responded to each robbery but the suspect had slipped away.
