The deadline for public input is March 1.

The new bridge over the Willamette River will only carry transit, bicyclists and pedestrians; no private vehicles will be allowed. TriMet officials say it will be the only bridge of its kind in the United States.

The bridge is scheduled to open on Sept. 12, 2015.
