Body found outside OSU frat house, police investigating as a suicide
CORVALLIS, Ore. - A person was found dead outside an Oregon State University fraternity house on Monday in what is being investigated as a suicide, according to law enforcement officials.
The incident happened outside the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at 2111 N.W. Harrison Street.
At this point there is no word on whether the person, who suffered a gunshot wound, was a student at the college.

 @kramr Yep my daughter lives a block or to away and has friends who new the kid. Always sad when someone so young decides such a permanent option is the only way to stop their suffering. If they only considered a new location, new friends, or even just lots of time could complete change their outlook back to the positive.

I had a co-worker who ended it as well after a breakup even though he had lots of friends, parents, and even co-workers he could reach out to. So sad for his parents which came from the east coast to help him move back home to see if it would help him. They just stepped out for a few minutes to run an errand and came back to find him.

If that's really all it took, then I doubt there would be any suicides in the world.
 @Annalisa Very true I can't say that I have ever even remotely considered tossing out the most precious gift any one has even though I have had lots of hardship in the past and even in the present in my life.

There are lots of reason people do this some are medical issues or mental illness others though are truly temporary issues that could be resolved by changing the environment they are surrounded by. Take for example recent cases of kids killing themselves because of school bullying. Take away the bullying and put them in a positive friendly environment and the need to end it would go away. Those will true mental illness likely would not be helped by a new environment...
