High school student speaks up after overhearing school threat

PORTLAND, Ore. - A threat at a local school is being investigated by district officials, who never would have known about it had a student not spoken up.

The incident happened at Cleveland High School at 3400 S.E. 26th Avenue.

According to the school district, a student there heard another kid talking about "shooting up the cafeteria" and told an administrator, who put a stop to it.

It's not clear at this point how serious the threat was. Parents will be getting a letter explaining what happened.
