Kalama schools put in lockdown during police search
KALAMA, Wash. – Schools in Kalama were put into lockdown on Wednesday afternoon as police looked for a suspect in a nearby neighborhood.
District officials said the students were safe in the school during the search.
Police chief Randy Gibson said officers were looking for a suspect who was involved in a dispute and reportedly pointed a gun at two women.
Gibson said the suspect and the two women all knew each other.
As they searched for the suspect, the school was put in lockdown. Gibson said officers will be on hand when school is let out to make sure students are safe.
He said parents should follow normal after-school procedures.
Why must this always be announced? or is this just more dog training like the TSA?
Oh no! It sounds like there is a hole in the fence keeping the riff raff contained within Longview.
