GRESHAM, Ore. - A mother is making a plea for help to find her missing daughter, a 15-year-old girl who it appears has met an older man online who lured her away.

Gresham High School student Kyrsten Roth was last spotted Wednesday at a coffeehouse across the street from school. A friend said she saw a man in his 20s drive by and pick her up. The girl's mother, Michelle Roth, has not seen her daughter since Dec. 3.

Michelle went back and checked their home phone records and discovered that her daughter has been calling a phone in California for months now.

Michelle said her daughter had mentioned something about a new boy she liked, but told her mother he was a student at her school. But Michelle said she has recently discovered that her daughter was spending a lot of time online on game and social networking websites.

Kyrsten's younger brother told their mother he had seen his sister talking to a man online and on video chat, but he didn't know she was thinking about meeting him.

Michelle is worried that her daughter may be in danger.

"Kyrsten did not run away, she ran to someone," she said. "We don't know anything about this person."

Police in Gresham are investigating and Michelle has also been in contact with police in California. But at this point there are no strong leads for investigators to follow up on.
