The report of a shooting at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard came in one minute after 8 p.m. on Friday night. As officers were on their way to that scene, a second call came in reporting a shooting at 100th and Sandy.
Officers found evidence of the first shooting but no suspects or victims. Minutes later, a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Providence Medical Center. He was soon taken by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. It is believed he will survive his wounds.
According to a press release from the Portland Police Bureau, the first shooting involved occupants in two vehicles. Police believe the shootout to be gang-related.
No information is available about the second reported shootout,t but the caller to 911 reporting it hung up before much information was provided.
