Police: Armed man robs NE Portland convenience store

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a man who robbed a Plaid Pantry store in Northeast Portland early Thursday morning.

A white man in his 40s who was armed with a gun walked into the store located at 6010 NE Halsey St. and demanded cash around 12:30 a.m., according to police. The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he ran away from the store.

No one was hurt. Police searched the area, but couldn’t find the suspect.

The robbery was one of two crimes at Plaid Pantry stores Thursday morning. A car crashed into a Plaid Pantry near SE 82nd Ave. and Duke St. in a hit-and-run crash. The car was found nearby, but police have not found the driver.
