Man begs for forgiveness after stabbing mother in the throat

Court documents show a man begged his mother for forgiveness after stabbing her in the throat.

Vladimir Tkachuk, 36, was arrested Thursday after police responded to a physical disturbance at 1404 S.W. 8th Avenue in Battle Ground.

Tkachuk told police his mother was hurt and "I did it."

Dina Tkachuk was making breakfast for Vladimir, when he came into the kitchen and picked up a knife and started to cut her throat, according to court documents.

Dina's 15-year-old daughter and a neighbor intervened.

Dina suffered lacerations to her neck and face. The cut on her throat was about 3 to 4 inches long.

The 15-year-old, Kristina Tkachuk, suffered a cut on her finger from trying to take away the knife.

Valdimir was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for attempted murder 2nd DV and assault 3rd degree DV.

Court documents show Vladimir may suffer from mental problems.
