GRESHAM, Ore. - A Gresham man is hoping you can help find his custom-built trailer stolen from outside his parents’ home.

“Just a deep sense of sadness and loss because right now I’m not working,” Daniel Smith said. “It was basically my home when I’m not staying with my parents here, so basically someone stole my home.”

Smith said the trailer, which is about six feet wide, was filled with thousands of dollars worth of supplies.  He kept camping and cooking gear, bedding, clothing and a GPS inside.

He said the most upsetting part is the time and effort he spent a couple years ago to build it from scratch.

“It’s one of a kind,” Smith said. “I spent the whole summer getting the best prices on steel, and I cut the steel right in the driveway there.”

Smith believes someone stole the trailer and its contents sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning.  He filed a police report but knows his best bet is someone seeing the trailer and calling Gresham Police.

“Just bring it back, please," he said.
