Man cited for DUII after motorcycle crash
CARVER, Ore. – State police cited a Happy Valley-area man who they said was driving drunk when he crashed his motorcycle on Highway 224 east of Carver on Saturday.
Police said Michael J. Miersma, 24, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on the highway when he lost control and slid across the road into a ditch. He was taken by LifeFlight to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. He is expected to survive.
Miersma had been drinking before the crash, police said. He was cited for DUII.
Police said Miersma was wearing a helmet.
probably just another idiot on a harley, hoping people were watching him ride by on his cornball machine, and hoping they could hear his big stupid pipes, that sound just like every other harley piece of garbage out there.
@arnold Being that he is 24 years old.I'm willing to bet that he was riding a sportbike.
Thank goodness he didn't cause harm to someone else which is often the case with those that choose to drive drunk. I hope this is a wake up call for the 24 yr old and he grows up.
Darwin at work. Sounds like he didn't finish the job though. Maybe this guy will learn something.

Naw, darwin is dead. What are you suggesting by saying he didn't finish the job?

People make mistakes in this fallen world.
Â
Have you ever made a mistake and regretted it later?
Drinking and driving is never a good choice. Drinking and riding is just plain stupid. There is no forgiveness in taking a dive on pavement.
Very lucky guy. Stupid, but lucky. A hospital bed is a great place to contemplate your mortality, I hope he emerges enlightened.
