Man dies in Multnomah Co. Jail

PORTLAND, Ore. — A 55-year-old man has died in his jail cell at the Multnomah County Detention Center Saturday night.
The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says the man was identified as David Chilton by the medical examiner's office. He was in custody on a U.S. Marshal hold for bank robbery.
Chilton was suspected of pulling a gun on a Portland State University safety officer and then robbing a bank and carjacking an SUV across town.
A corrections deputy tried to wake Chilton for dinner Saturday in his cell but found the inmate unresponsive. Medical personnel tried unsuccessfully to revive him.
The sheriff's office says an autopsy was conducted Sunday morning but the cause of death is pending further tests.
Was he dying to get out of jail?
 @I812 Well...he did it!
At least we won't be spending allot for trial, conviction and incarceration for this one. Good solution
Good Riddance to yet another career felon.

RIP
I like him better already!
Nice, lol
In jail or not it will still be heartbreaking for his friends and family. RIP. Unlike the last guy this guy looked pretty good for 55.
My condolences to his family and friends. On the the hand this should save taxpayers some money.
