Man dies in truck crash near Yamhill
YAMHILL, Ore. – Police said one man died Friday night in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 47 near Yamhill.
Leland Rand Fisher, 59, died in the crash.
Police said it happened at around 11:30 p.m. Fisher was driving his pickup truck when it drifted onto the shoulder. Investigators said Fisher over-corrected and lost control of his truck, which caused it to slide across the highway and crash into a power pole.
Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.
