Man hit by bus in Seattle gets up, walks to Starbucks

SEATTLE -- A 32-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by a bus in Downtown Seattle Tuesday morning.
The driver was arrested for investigation of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The results of the blood draw are pending.
Witnesses told KOMO News the bus appeared to have the right of way and the man just walked out in front of it.
The impact was strong enough to break the bicycle rack on the front of the bus, witnesses said.
Police said after the bus stopped, the man walked away. Moments later, a call came into Seattle Fire that a seriously injured man was located outside a Starbucks a block away.
Medics arrived to find the man with several broken bones and an apparent concussion. The victim told medics he had been hit and dragged by a vehicle downtown. Firefighters said he wasn't making a lot of sense, according to department spokesman Kyle Moore.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for his injuries, and Moore said he was expected to survive.
Why didn't he go to Seattle's Best Coffee?
Guy shows up at Starbucks and says"Man I really need a cup of Jo, I feel like I just got hit by a bus"..

The bus driver was arrested for being under the influence and on drugs,  This guy is driving a bus that weights a ton with peoples lives at stake  what the heck is wrong with these folks, if you have to use drugs and such to go to work maybe you need to get into another line of business.  This whole story is crazy, guy gets up and wants coffee wow what a mess society is

Do you have a source for this? I guess it's -his- fault the guy walked into traffic in front of a bus.
 @Playanekes Yeah, try reading the 2nd paragraph.
Sorry Patrick Dempsey, you are going to have to cater to the recently injured folks to nab Starbucks customers.
I walk into a Starbucks almost everyday in a somewhat comatose state until I get my fix.I don't even need to be hit by a bus.
Is the morning cup of coffee that important?
 @dkgiovenco YES!
 @beeker LOL
First, if it had been me and I hadn't had my coffee yet, I'd have physically attacked the bus for getting in my way and you could call it whatever you want, andSecond, if I hadn't had coffee and didn't see the bus coming--it could happen--and got my bell rung, whatever was left of me would know where to go and what to do. That's how we roll, man. He was probably wearing flannel.
He was just looking for some of that super-coffee which will heal him instantly!
I knew there was a head injury involved if he got up and walked into a Starbucks. . . .Hope he recovers soon.
 @Justanother1 Hey...nothing wrong with Starbucks if you're on a trip.....WAY better than hotel coffee. It's the only thing I like about them being all over the place.
Even though he couldn't remember if a car or a bus hit him, he had enough brain cells left to subconsciously walk into a starbucks like a zombie.
@portlandborn83 He just knew it was a building with people inside it, he just wanted some help. It could have been any place.
 @portlandborn83 Is this the beginning of "Zombies Ruling the Earth"? ;-)
