Man seriously injured sledding in Portland

A 21-year-old man has been admitted to Legacy Emanuel as a trauma patient after a sledding accident at Mt. Tabor.

Portland Fire and Rescue spokesman Rich Chatman said it happened around 3:30.

The man had been sledding, lost control and was discovered unconscious.

“Our crews have been seeing a lot of sledding injuries today,” said Chatman. “This is the first really serious one.”

Chatman asked that if people are out sledding, they be esepcially careful given how slick conditions are.
