Man stabbed at Portland's Holladay Park

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland police and the Transit Police Division are both searching for a man who repeatedly stabbed another man near the MAX station at Holladay Park in Northeast Portland.

The victim was using a payphone at the southwest corner of the park, at the intersection of Northeast 11th Ave. and Holladay Street, when he was stabbed four times. The victim was taken to a hospital, and police say he'll survive his injuries.

The suspect ran off, and police haven't been able to find him. They are examining surveillance video from cameras in the area to see if they can get more information about the stabbing and the suspect.

For now, police have shared the victim's description of the man who stabbed him. He's described as a black man, with short hair and a red hooded sweatshirt under a black jacket, with blue jeans and white shoes. He was last seen on foot in Holladay Park.
