Man suspected in Calif. killing arrested near Portland

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Police in Oregon have arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of shooting a woman in the head and leaving her to die on a street in San Diego County.
The Los Angeles Times reports Casey Tschida was taken into custody Saturday at his mother's home in Happy Valley, near Portland.
San Diego homicide investigators are arranging for him to be returned to Southern California.
Sheriff's investigators say Tschida drove to Oregon after the Thursday morning shooting in the Lemon Grove area.
Authorities say 30-year-old Jennifer Krajnak was shot in the head while walking home from a bar, where she and Tschida had been.
Deputies on patrol found her along the side of a road. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Detectives have not suggested a motive for the shooting.
Momma's boy, kills a woman (allegedly) then runs home to his mommy....what a tough guy, huh? Bet he isn't feeling so tough now...or maybe he's too dumb to know what lies ahead for him.
Yep. Run home to mama, but you can't outrun the long arm of the law.
Smart move, first pop a lady who was with you at a bar and then left her to death; then drove cross state to see Mama. Sweet, I don't have to be a detective, but I know your family, friends...are the first places police look for. Now rot in hell, I don't feel sorry for a male that shots a woman.
hogtie him and cram him into one of those animal transport crates for the ride back
One last visit with Momma. Hey, Casey! You should never have moved out of her basement.
Mommy! The police are out to get me!
How are all these complete psychos getting ahold of firearms?
@Whobeke Maybe he isn't a psycho, maybe he is just a mean, evil s.o.b.

There is very little in this story to indicate that this guy is psychotic or mentally ill in general. Not everyone who commits murder is mentally ill; actually the minority are. Guns are everywhere and if you want one badly enough you can get one.
Right! Head home to mommy after doing despicable acts? When they have your name, where do you think they will check first? With relatives and friends, of course.
This is not the face of remorse or shame.Â
