Anyone who knows of Mr. Arnold's whereabouts is asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein with the Missing Persons Unit at 503-823-0446.
Unlocked doors? These people are very clever and they can find their way out of anything. The facilities try to tell their loved ones that they're too much to handle, but their loved ones don't want to believe it. I don't know if that's the case with this gentleman, but I know it's the case lots of times. I know that they really do their best to take care of them ..., but sometimes the "best", isn't good enough. ): Sometimes it takes family intervention ..., and a lot of love and willpower. It's always sad.Â
Great outcome! Now, let's hope his care plan going forward doesn't allow for unlocked doors.
OMG did any of my tax payer money get used to search or rescue this guy????? knee jerk knee jerk knee jerk!!!!!!
i hope he had rescue insurance, filled out the proper permits, and had an OPLU, thats Old Person Locator Unit. Similar to the MLU - Mushroom picker Locator Unit. You can rent them for $5 there is no excuse not to have one. How could his man's family allow him to engage in such reckless wonton adrenaline junkie activity like fancy sidewalk walking!!! I hope not a dime of my tax payer money was spent or I'll throw a hissyfit that belies my total lack of understanding of public safety and welfare while I criticize someone for being active!
I'm awfully glad they found him and that he's safe... Â Â
See, told ya I wasn't missing.
Why is someone with dementia allowed to go out for a walk by himself?
Why was a man with dementia allowed to walk away from the care facility alone? That's how it sounds. I thought they had the ability to use GPS monitoring? Geez, we need to take better care of our elders. We will all be there some day. I hope he is found unharmed, and found soon.
I used to know this man. I hope they find him safe!!!
I think it's high time that the elderly in these care facilities have a tracking bracelet on. We have seen so many wander out of the facilities of late. The care facilities are good, but they are not great at securing the doors. It's almost like they need a monitor there, or someone to check them in and out rather than the typical "sign in/sign out" sheets they have. And they need to be posted - right at the doors!
I think the care facility is going to have some explaining to next of kin if there is any.
and looks like they could get sued for neglect by the next of kin if there is any.
Shouldn't there have been someone with him when he left? If he's there because he's confused, why on earth would they let him leave by himself? Sounds irresponsible of them, if you ask me.
Hopefully he will be found safe.
I,m not missing, I'm right here!
Well, anything could have occurred, Alien abduction, took trimet somewhere etc. Read the channel 6 blog, maybe he's hanging out there.
The obvious question is why is he leaving his care facility unattended? Where on SE Raymond is the facility? That would be helpful info too. I hope he is found safe and sound, it was pretty cold last night.
