Three arrested after police pursuit ends near I-205
PORTLAND, Ore. - Three people were arrested Thursday evening following a police pursuit on Interstate 205.
The incident began as a report of a disturbance at a Southeast Portland apartment complex. Portland police officers responded to Laurel Place Apartments, at Southeast 125th Avenue and Powell Boulevard, to a report of two men with guns, police said.
When officers responded, a suspect's vehicle sped off, triggering a pursuit that eventually made its way to I-205 northbound.
Officers placed spike strips on the roadway to deflate the vehicle's tires as it exited onto Northeast Killingsworth Street. Officers also rammed the fleeing vehicle to spin it and slow it down, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
No one was injured, police said.
Arrested were 20-year-old Kevin Reinhard, 26-year-old Shawn Keele and 22-year-old Chelsea Scott. They face charges of methamphetamine possession, and Reinhard and Keele also face additional felony charges, including firearms violations, police said.
Port of Portland police found a handgun thrown from the car when the chase went into Portland International Airport's main terminal," Portland police said.
Additionally, police said they found a replica handgun, knives and a small amount of meth inside the car.
Police closed Killingsworth as they investigated the case and cleared the scene. It briefly caused traffic delays, but as of 7 p.m., traffic was moving smoothly again.
The suspects were booked into Multnomah County Jail.

It truly saddens me to see people's hateful and negative reactions to this situation. A lot of you most likely have no clue who this people are, to you they're just some people on drugs with no soul or life, but the reality is that they are people, they do have souls and most likely a full life of family and people who do care for them even though they are going through a rough time right now. You don't stop to think about what their families might be going through right now, all you care about is posting some horrible comment to try and sound like you have an opinion about something, have an opinion about hunger and homelessness in our streets, have an opinion about what we as human beings are doing to this earth, not about someone else's life that you have no control about, all you're doing is spreading hate. They have their reasons for why they chose to run, most likely it wasn't because of hate or anger, but because of love. How do you know if they didn't have children waiting for them at home, and the only reason I say this is because an indecent similar to this happened to my family recently...but my family member didn't get to come out of it alive, thanks to the cop who decided to clip her car to slow her down, instead she flew through the air and crashed into a tree, they said she died instantly, and yes our bodies can only take so much, but I believe her love for her children kept her alive longer than they said. She ran, and there wasn't drugs involved , but there was alcohol, but she ran nonetheless, because she had her children at home, and she was doing her best to keep them in her custody, she feared that if she pulled over they would be pulled out of her life, and unfortunately they were, just not in the way she thought. She ran , not because of anger or hate, but because of love, the love for her children and family. So before you decide to judge someone for their actions remember they are people just like you and I, they have children and family members who care and love them, and they have their reasons for running. And to all the family members of these 3 individuals just know things happen for a reason, maybe they needed this to wake them up and really look at their lives, sometimes in order for big change big events need to happen. Maybe this is the event so they can change a pull themselves up and pursue the path that is meant for them. The are still alive, and they can better themselves from this. Please have hope for them and yourselves, I send only love and positive thoughts your way.Â
Finally, this Shawn Keele scumbag is off the streets. He's done this before. Why are there so many scumbags in the City of Portland all of a sudden (the last few years). I'm really getting sick of it. The judicial system has to do a better job of keeping thugs like this off the streets.
I dont think that criminals should get away with anything and have a lesson to learn. But for all the people that want to say stuff like people should be killed and hope they never get out, your not acting like a very different person from the people you are saying this about. One of these people is a sibling to me and the others have family too. I am sure that not everyone in your family or you have always been perfecy and lack of fault. You can say that they should be punished. But dont ever wish ill will on others. people learn growing up around them. And every kid you picked on. Or they didnt have a great life ends up some where and needs help. And thats what they need help. NOT shot on sight or put away forever. Thank you. OH yea p.s. yea they might be crying, like you, they are human.
The good news is that these three are going away to little cages. The bad news is they will be back out! Don't expect them to get jobs and pay their bills, who would hire losers like that? Load your guns and lock the doors.

Just another reason the concentration should be on meth.......while there are problems associated with pot....getting the money out of it by allowing small cultivation amounts for recreational use along with the medical program will eventually remove the huge financial incentive to grow herb illegally.

 @MariahScott Yes a waste.  They are wasting their lives.  That is obvious.  I am sorry that your sister is making terrible, life altering decisions.  Read my post again, I never said they need to die, I said they are the walking dead.  I see no life in their eyes when looking at their mug shots.  I read this story and all I can think is what a huge waste of life.  The worst part is that besides wasting their own lives they apparently aren't averse to endangering others.  I have no sympathy for their actions and likely this isn't the first incident in their chain of transgressions.  I hope your sister gets help and can turn her life around.  Some people make it and some people don't but don't admonish me for having no sympathy for people doing drugs, carrying guns and driving recklessly - at the very least.  There is definitely more to the story that we don't even know.  Turn your energies to your own family and don't be surprised when people aren't supportive of actions such as this.  If it wasn't your sister involved your viewpoint would be different.

The sad thing here is that if you look at their profile it shows that 2 of them have kids...and not older kids, but younger kids...now those poor kids are without parents this Christmas...way to go....hopefully you will grow some balls in jail and learn how to be parent....or atleast give your kids to people who will be a good role model....

 @Zechariah What does the ability to grow facial hair have to do with anything? let alone the fact that these three have been brain dead for a long time?  I'm going to be 60 next year, and *I* have always had a problem growing facial hair.  Never have taken drugs stronger than cannabis.  What a coincidence!
