Milwaukie man accused of sexually abusing 12-year-old girls, more victims come forward

MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Police say they’ve arrested a 41-year-old man accused of sexually abusing 12-year-old girls in his home.

He was arrested May 22.

Jason James Karsten, 41, is charged with three counts of first-degree sex abuse. Police say Karsten abused the girls in his Southeast Plum Street home last year.

He is being held in the Clackamas County Jail on $750,000 bail. A Clackamas County grand jury has indicted Karsten on the charges, Milwaukie police said.

On July 8 Milwaukie police said more victims have come forward after earlier media reports about Karsten's arrest.

Police spokesperson Officer Ulli Neitch told KATU News the public should be "somewhat concerned it they are familiar with this person."
