SALEM, Ore. - A missing Federal Way, Wash. man has been found unharmed in Oregon, but there was no immediate explanation for his disappearance, police said.

Adam L. Standridge, 32, was supposed to start a new job Monday morning, but he didn't show up. When his brother couldn't find him he called police Monday afternoon.

Standridge's car was found Tuesday at a rest area north of Albany. It was locked and appeared to have been abandoned.

Later Tuesday, the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Salem received a call from a resident saying that a stranger was at her door requesting help.

Deputies responded and found Standridge there. He was checked out by medical personnel and requested to be transported to a shelter in Salem.

His family was contacted and notified, but he made no statement to police explaining his disappearance.

Authorities determined that was no harm to himself or others and he was released.
