Vancouver police are now leading the investigation into the officer-involved shooting that killed Kenny Mosby.

Mosby's parents returned to their Ridgefield home Saturday, which was ruined by tear gas and had all of its windows broken by gas canisters used by police during the standoff.

Family and friends have heard the rumors and reports that Kenny Mosby wanted to die and wanted officers to shoot, but his parents and close friends say that's just not true.

The family's neighbor of 15 years, who rents them that home, said she and other friends have questions about why police shot Mosby, who she called "a good kid."

The Clark County Sheriff's Office told KATU law enforcement did everything possible to talk him out peacefully.
