Northwest Pet Fair brings pets of all kinds

Northwest Pet Fair brings pets of all kinds

PORTLAND, Ore.-- Friday is National Pet Day, and to kick it off, the largest pet expo and adoption event in the Northwest is right here in Portland.

The Northwest Pet and Companion Fair is in town Saturday and Sunday.

If you don't have a pet but you're interested, the Oregon Humane Society has cuddly candidates of all shapes and sizes. They'll even dress them up for you at the pet fashion show.

"We have accessories from hats to bowties, and little suits, you name it," said organizer Carole Bigwood.

And while you can't adopt them, there's even wildlife to enjoy at the fair, like Tyton, a 14-week-old tiger. For a fee, you can get your photo taken with Tyton, and even pet him.
