OSU football players out of jail, suspended from team

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Three Oregon State football players arrested early Saturday morning on assault and disorderly conduct charges got out of jail Monday after facing arraignment.
Corvallis police arrested Rudolph Fifita, Tyler Rosa and Dyllon Mafi.
The three are suspended indefinitely, according to head coach Mike Riley. That makes their status for the Alamo Bowl uncertain.
The three were released from jail Monday on conditions they not consume alcohol and they avoid contact with the victim.
The judge said the three may leave the state while the charges progress through the legal system.
According to Corvallis Police Lt. Cord Wood, the three players were at the Impulse Bar and Grill at 1425 NW Monroe when they got into an argument with a man and assaulted him.
A second person got involved in the fight and was also assaulted, Wood said.
- Mafi, a junior linebacker, was booked on charges of assault (3rd degree), disorderly conduct and misrepresentation of age by a minor
- Rosa, a junior defensive tackle, was booked on charges of assault (3rd degree) and disorderly conduct (2nd degree)
- Fifita, a senior defensive end, was booked on charges of assault (3rd degree) and disorderly conduct (2nd degree).
The Beavers are preparing to face Texas in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29.
They'll learn next time that they can be smoking some green stuff an driving at high speed and it's no big deal, but when you start swinging, that's a different matter...
Three on one is pretty impressive bravado. That's why they make it a class C felony even though there may not be serious physical injury. The potential is there to seriously hurt someone. These guys were just too dumb to know when to leave.Â
Hopefully they will remember the Alamo - that they didn't participate.Â
But will be reinstated for the bwol game.
I guess brawling in bars is somehow supposed to be part of a college education. Â When you're a tough guy football player you just have to be COOOOL, and prove your manliness at every opportunity. Â I'd be willing to wager that all three of these fine examples of manhood and gutter flotsam are getting their education on someone else's dime.
"""""suspended from team""""  and that is the difference between Mike and Chip
@kramr The difference is that Riley administered the same penalty Kelly administered? That's like a night and night difference alright!
@kramr  NICE PIC

Dump them. Schools need to hold up a standard and these losers are not interested in standards.
@RalphCramden I agree completely, they are most likely there on scholarships, so take that away from them, kick them off of the team and expel them from the college.  Â
They let down their community, their university, their supporters and their team because of something that had nothing to do with any of it. Losers.
Â
Best of luck, OSU, but, you have statistics on your side. Nobody wants to be the home team at the Alamo, especially if you're a Texan.

It's hard to tell the HARDENED THUGS from the SPOILED-ROTTEN college kids.....REALLY!
"But Dude! He was just asking for it. He looked at me! Besides, we didn't like his shirt. So we are totally justified!"
