Off-duty Portland police officer arrested for DUII and reckless driving

PORTLAND, Ore. – An off-duty Portland police officer was arrested Tuesday night for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving, according to the Portland Police Bureau on Wednesday.

Kent Scott, a 22-year veteran of the bureau was arrested just before 10 p.m. at Southeast 148th Avenue and Division Street after being pulled over by Portland police officers, according to police.

Bureau spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said Scott was evaluated and processed for DUII and then was cited for reckless driving and DUII.

Scott was assigned to the Transit Police Division. Simpson said he has been placed in an off-street assignment in the Operation Support Unit pending an investigation and internal review.
