BRUSH PRAIRIE, Wash. -- He doesn't want any attention, but a man who made a big donation to Hockinson School District students made a lot of people pretty happy.

Just talking about it Thursday, Superintendent Sandra Yager was almost in tears.

"What an awesome opportunity for a family to know this one time they don't have to worry about that. This is a selfless amazing act to serve," Yager said.

Kathy Matson, who's worked in the lunchroom for more than a decade got the phone call.

"It was some parent who wanted to do this, and said I think we have Santa Claus on the phone. It was exciting," Matson said.

On the other end of that phone call was a parent in the Hockinson School District who wanted pay all the lunch debts for students. That's about 300 students and a total bill of $1,080.

That paid off debts, giving every student a clean slate and a fresh start.

Hockinson eighth-grader Antimony Berkley said, "I think it's really cool, and I think it means a lot to the students. I've done that before; I've been in that position. So I think it's really cool to have that relief."
