ALOHA, Ore. – One man was killed when his car cashed early Thursday morning.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 26-year-old Nicholas Walrath of Aloha.
Sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. David Thompson said there was only one car involved in the crash, and that there was nobody else in the car.
He described the Honda car as "unrecognizable."
The accident happened at S.W. 185th Ave. and S.W. Pheasant Lane.
Thompson said deputies believe speed was a factor, and Walrath had been driving over 100 mph.
The car drove onto a sidewalk, hit a tree and then crashed through a cinder block wall, Thompson said.
He said Walrath's father just happened to come upon the scene and was told about his son at that time.
Thompson said fog was not heavy at the time of the accident.
