Police investigate deadly shooting in SE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Southeast Portland early Saturday morning.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Flavel Street just after 1 a.m.

Officers found 30-year-old Lloyd Raymond Frach III dead when they arrived.

Police interviewed 21-year-old JC Jarell Brister in connection with the case. Brister was arrested on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He does not face any other charges, police said.

"Detectives determined this is the appropriate charge given the evidence gathered," said Portland Police spokesman Robert King.
