BEAVERTON, Ore.— The Beaverton School District is holding an open house tonight to discuss planning for an upcoming bond measure.
The public is invited to hear a presentation and visit project stations covering strategies to build new schools and modernize current facilities as enrollment grows.
Last school year overcrowding was evident, after the district laid off more than 200 teachers. Superintendent Jeff Rose reinstated 150 of those positions in May after voters passed a levy.
Tonight’s meeting is at the Beaverton High School cafeteria at 13000 SW 2nd St. in Beaverton, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
