Want a new pet? OHS kicks off adoption special

PORTLAND, Ore. – It’s a great time of year to get a new pet, according to the Oregon Humane Society.

OHS kicked off its year-ending adoption special on Thursday. Every dog, cat and bird is 50 percent off through Jan. 5.

Some cats are ready to take home for just $6.

Every animal is spayed or neutered, has a micro-chip and its first round of vaccinations.

The humane society says this week is a great time to bring a new pet home because many adults are off work and the kids are home from school.

Multnomah County Animal Services also has a pet adoption special going until Dec. 31.

We're pleased to announce our Holiday Spectacular adoption special. Adoption fees will match the date; so on Dec. 26, you can bring home a new pet for $26.
