TUALATIN, Ore. --- It was 635 days ago that a devastating fire claimed the Living Savior Lutheran Church back in March 2012.
On Saturday, after nearly two years of fundraising and rebuilding, the church held a grand re-opening celebration to show off its new fellowship hall and sanctuary.
The fellowship hall is twice as big so it can hold twice as many people, says the pastor, Nathan Brandt.
The fire was ruled arson and two teenage boys, 13 and 14 years old, were eventually arrested.
"We pray that wouldn't be a lasting mark on their life," said Pastor Brandt during Saturday's celebration.
"The court system has actually not allowed any contact," he said, adding the congregation has prayed for the boys.
"We've prayed for their well being, for their relationship with their parents, for their lives."
