Pedestrian struck and killed on Highway 99E in Hubbard

HUBBARD, Ore. – A 59-year-old woman was hit by a van and killed Wednesday night while crossing Highway 99E in Hubbard, according to Oregon State Police.

Police said a woman who was driving the van was making a left turn from D Street onto the highway when she hit the pedestrian at about 4:20 p.m.

The driver had stopped at a red light and made the turn when it was green, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Portland by LifeFlight where she was pronounced dead.

No names have been released.
