Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries after hit by car

PORTLAND, Ore. – A 16-year-old boy was hit by a car on Southeast 82nd Avenue near Raymond Court Tuesday night and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Portland police said.

The accident happened shortly before 7 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Southeast 82nd Avenue was closed in both directions at Southeast Raymond Court while police investigated.

Originally, police said the victim was an adult male. The victim is 16 years old.
