Camp Withycombe Open House
Former Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski speaks to local business leaders during the Oregon National Guard's Open House at the 41 Infantry Division Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Ore., Nov. 9. Three local businesses presented funds to the Oregon Historical Society to help with the renovation work currently underway on the Oregon Military Museum, which is slated to be named in honor of Brig. Gen. James B. Thayer, of the Oregon State Defense Force, and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Emeritus. The event brought together several groups, including Native American Tribal members, Oregon National Guard Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen, veterans groups, area residents and local business leaders.
