The money is part of three presentations by local area businesses which will go toward the capital campaign currently underway to fund the renovation of the Oregon Military Museum located at Camp Withycombe. The museum, which is slated to be named in honor of Brig. Gen. James B. Thayer, of the Oregon State Defense Force, and Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Emeritus. The event brought together several groups, including Native American Tribal members, Oregon National Guard Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen, veterans groups, are a residents and local business leaders.
