LINCOLN CITY, Ore. – Two people who drove onto a beach in Lincoln City last weekend ran into some trouble when the high tide caused their car to get stuck in the sand.
It happened near the Vista del Mar hotel, The News Guard reported.
Julie Lay of Beaverton was staying at a hotel nearby.
She told the newspaper she returned from breakfast on Sunday morning to see waves crashing against the car.
The two people who were inside the car called in a backhoe to help get the car off the sand, The News Guard’s editor, Jeremy Ruark, told KATU.
They were able to successfully get the car off the beach.
