Photos: Keizer police seek suspects using stolen credit cards

KEIZER, Ore. - Police in Keizer are asking for the public’s help to find a group of suspected credit thieves.
The suspects were caught on camera inside a Target store on Keizer Station Boulevard on July 21.
Police said a woman's wallet was stolen from inside her purse while she was shopping in a nearby Ross store and within minutes, five people were making thousands of dollars in purchases at the Target store using the woman's stolen credit cards.
Police said one suspect even returned to the store wearing a hat and different clothes.
If you recognize anyone in the photo gallery above, Keizer police ask that you call Officer James Young at 503-390-3713 extension 3510.
We shouldn't leave our purses open/unzipped/unlatched either! Makes it to easy to grab someone's wallet! There's way to much of this going on! I keep my purse closed now and over my shoulder with the purse itself tucked under my arm pit.

Good pictures of these creeps! Hope they catch these skanks and hit them with the book!
Why don't credit cards have the pictures of the owners on them? All of mine say "see ID" on the back. If the clerk doesn't ask for my ID I tell them that they should do it. If they do ask for ID I thank them.
Â
Most don't look real hard at the ID and few ever ask what kind of ID it is cause it isn't a drivers license.

There are a lot of things that financial agencies could do to reduce credit card theft but they are worried that it would take too long.
@RalphCramden Technically, stores are violating their agreements with credit card companies any time they accept a card that says "SEE ID" and lacks a signature - those are not considered valid cards according to the company policies. Don't be surprised if sooner or later, somebody refuses it. That so many retail employees are willing to accept those cards is actually a huge indication of how few are paying attention to security and doing their jobs properly.
@starshadow I do have it signed so maybe that is acceptable. After my signature it says "see ID".
@starshadow I didn't know that. I have always put "see ID" on all my cards. Never been turned down yet.
all stores should require the buyer to type in their security code to process a credit card purchase, and make sure the name on the card matches their photo ID
