Police: 1 arrested, 1 at large after attempted murder in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Police arrested a 22-year-old Vancouver woman who they said robbed, kidnapped and shot an Oregon man in Vancouver before stealing his car early Wednesday morning.
Joanna K. Speaks was arrested Friday after a SWAT standoff that lasted about an hour at a Vancouver apartment, located at Southeast 160th Avenue and Mill Plain Boulevard.
Speaks was taken to the Clark County Jail. She faces charges of attempted murder, robbery and kidnapping.
Police are still looking for a second suspect. Pedro “Junior” Godinez, Jr., 19, should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Police said the unidentified 37-year-old victim was kidnapped in East Vancouver and taken to an area near Vancouver Lake Park, where he was robbed and shot multiple times.
The suspects left in his 2012 Nissan Sentra.
The victim then walked about a mile through the Shillapoo Wildlife Recreation Area before reaching a group of houseboats. He knocked on doors asking for help, police said, and was eventually taken to a hospital.
Police said Godinez is a Hispanic man who is 5’10’’ tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has black, closely shaved hair and brown eyes.
Godinez has several words tattooed on his body. He has the word “Mariana” on the right side of his head, “Monica” on the right side of his neck, “Baby” on his right forearm and “Silent” on his left forearm.
Police released two surveillance photos of Godinez that they said were taken after the robbery and shooting.
Anyone who sees Godinez or knows where he is should call 9-1-1 immediately, police said.
Nothing screams " You'll be sorry if you hire me" like a neck tattoo. I've only had one person come here to interview with a neck tattoo. No, they didn't get the job and the interview was very short.
Neck Tattoos! Â Nothing says "Fine upstanding member of the community" like an artful neck tattoo. Â Now mind you I don't begrudge anyone for being proud of their Tattoos, I have several myself, but on the Neck??? Â Never understood that one. Â If you ever want to be anonymous in a crowd....or anywhere at all, neck tattoos really don't facilitate that.
Now that he knows he's been identified he's even more dangerous. Hope they find him soon and no one else is hurt. Wonder if it was random or a crime of opportunity? I always like to know. Helps to keep things in perspective.

 @flyingtime I am a state worker, and a union member... not by choice... I had to join a union to keep my job. I did not vote for rerun, and I am highly displeased that my union dues went to fund the socialist party's campaign.
 Don't lump all state workers into one category. I work for the state because, there is no private sector employer for what I do. I love my job and am the best there is.... maybe the only one there is.

 @whitish2001 I am not an immigrant. I was born here. Hispanics are a mix of indigenous Aboriginals, and European Spaniards. Kind of ironic isn't it? The Europeans pushed the "Indians" out of their homes, and those that didn't leave assimilated. Now they are just expanding their territory to the North, and trying to push us Aboriginals out. Those of us that don't leave will in time be assimilated. Funny huh?
